TEACHING ENGLISH: Our English teaching project in Ecuador is located in the urban and rural communities. Volunteers also have the opportunity to explore and learn or improve the Spanish language. Most of the volunteers working in this project work as a teacher in a private or public elementary school. Responsibilities of volunteers include teaching simple English and the practice of simple conversational English with the children. Additional help with health, sanitation, and extra curricular activities are also expected. We believe education is the key to enabling this South American country to rise above its poverty. You will help in this process by teaching a class for some hours each day from Monday to Friday. Volunteers are free to use a variety of methods like singing songs, repeating words and playing with flash cards. The aim of your work is to help the children to enjoy learning English. |
