| TOURISM AND TRAVEL: Ecuador is one of those rare destinations in the world that seems to have the right combination of natural beauty, intriguing history, and vibrant culture, traditions and hospitality. These join together and make a unique environment for tourism in Ecuador's four distinct regions: Andean Highlands, Coastal Lowlands, Amazon Region and the Galapagos Islands. The Intern will work on a number of projects, helping with the day to day running of the business of the placement. Interested individuals would be expected to exhibit patience, dependability, creativity and flexibility. The Intern will assist in organizing events, meetings, etc. Skills you could acquire: Marketing of specific areas, advertising strategies for the areas, co-operative advertising and marketing, organizational skills, event marketing, travel booking and reservation skills, administration skills, accounting skills, retail sales skills and customer service skills. You may even gain unique knowledge of all aspects of operating a small hotel, service and quality standards, management and leadership skills, coaching and counselling skills, organisation and problem solving abilities, how to organize theme parties, professional behaviour skills, knowledge of POS, computer systems, communications and interpersonal skills.
