| Our medical internship
is designed to training students who are pursuing health-related
careers or other occupations where knowledge of healthcare
issues will be important. Besides, it is designed for those
who wish to work in a professional medical environment. Medical
undergraduate or graduate students and beginning professionals
hoping to gain clinical experience are welcome to intern in
a variety of medical fields (general medicine, gynecology,
pediatrician, laboratory, surgery, emergency, dental health,
Ophthalmology, physical therapy, traumatology, among others)
at a public or private hospitals, clinic and medical foundations
throughout Ecuador.
Our medical internship also attracts students
who are contemplating a career in medicine, so whether you
are thinking of applying to medical school or are already
on a course, we can arrange valuable medical work experience
for you. Our placements are specifically tailored to utilize
the skills and experience that you have already acquired or
are things in gaining.
Interning on a Medicine & Healthcare
program in a developing country is invaluable preparation

suit people of all levels of qualification and experience.
Our medical internships have placements where interns will
gain a great experience working directly professional medical
staff. All doctors have experience in teaching international
students and love to share their knowledge.
Internship Role
As an intern, you will be involved in the
daily procedures of the medical centers observing or directly
providing various sorts of assistance to existing doctors
or nurses in different medical departments or in the medical
field, depending on their interests and specialties.
Skills/Qualifications
Although our opportunity is open to college
students, undergraduate, recent graduate students and young
professionals. No previous experience is mandatory although
it could be very helpful. Nevertheless, a good beginner level
of Spanish is required as minimum.

Internship Location
Our professional medical internship is located
across Ecuador.
Accommodation and Meals
During the stay in the program, interns
will live with a carefully screened host family which will
provide with a single, clean, modest, comfortable and safe
room as well as local meals three times a day. No lunch on
Sundays.
Dates, Duration and Application Deadline
This internship opportunity runs all year-round
for 4-24 weeks in length and start every Monday so interns
should arrive 1 or 2 days early. Interns choose their own
start dates. Applications are accepted up to 4 weeks prior
to departure or start date.
Pick-up/Meeting
Interns will be met outside the airport
terminal by an ELEP representative holding a placard with
your name on it. Please provide us your flight information
up to 2 weeks prior departing from your home-country so that
a punctual pick-up/meeting can be arranged.

Application Fee: $ 100
Internship Program Cost: $ 620 for 4 weeks. Every extra week
is $ 105
