Interns will learn aspects of public relations and marketing in small companies: event management membership, me marketing, direct mailing, grants, sponsorships, marketing ventures and newsletter production, research, analyze and monitor market trends in a competitive environment, review and prepare mailing lists. For those who want to work in PR (public relations), that is also possible. Skills you could acquire: Research needed for marketing brands, how to develop long range plans, work with other departments/teamwork, general knowledge of specific industry (for example, publishing), teamwork, how to make a positive impact on the recognition and sales of a product, marketing process, interacting with clients, knowledge of marketing within a global company, analyzing skills, promotion and advertising skills, communication and interpersonal skills, research and administrative skills, export marketing and management skills, pricing, promotion and after sales.
