What is included in our costs?
Pre-Trip information: Before participants travel, they will receive a pre-trip information package that includes important details about their program in Ecuador.
Orientation: Upon arrival in Ecuador, participants will receive an orientation that will familiarize them with the Ecuadorian culture and bureaucratic items, the city and the surrounding area where they will be living and the volunteer and internship aspects.
Airport reception: Upon their arrival in Ecuador, the participants will be met by a representative of ELEP at the airport who will introduce and lodge them to their host families, teacher (when they are taking our Spanish lessons) and our internship or volunteer placement.
Placement: The host place where the participants will be volunteering or interning.
What is not included in our costs?
Round-Trip airfare to Ecuador: This is purchased by the participants in the airline company of their preference.
Visa expenses: This is a personal issue with migration which is covered by the participants. Obviously, all participants will receive support from ELEP (visit our FAQ).
Insurance: It must be purchased by the participants before traveling to Ecuador, depending what they need and in what company they prefer to purchase it.
Personal expenses: Transportation, extras activities, shopping and many other personal expenses of the participants.
Activities: During their Spanish lessons, orientation, volunteer and internship programs, the participants will have visits to cultural places (museums, churches, monasteries, historical houses, etc) excursions (climbing, trekking and tours) arranged on request.
A minimum number of participants is required for every activity. These activities will have an extra cost (bus or entrances tickets, hotel, etc).
